Tippecanoe Girls Basketball Team Named Premier Health Team of the Month

March 30, 2015 - The Tippecanoe High School Girls Basketball Team was named the Premier Health/UVMC Sports Medicine Team of the Month for February 2015. They will be honored with the recognition on Mar. 24 at the Tippecanoe Winter Athletic Banquet.   

The Tipp Girls Basketball Team finished out their recent season with a 22-0 record, becoming only the third team in school history to record an undefeated season and the first since the regular season expanded to 22 games.  

They secured the CBC Kenton Trail division title with a 10-0 record in league play.  In addition, the team ranked second in the state AP poll and secured the first seed in the Tecumseh sectional for tournament play.  

In the month of January, Carly Clodfelter scored her 1,000th career point in an away victory at Bellefontaine, and Halee Printz broke the school career assist mark when she recorded her 459th assist on senior night against Northwestern.

Off the court, the team achieved an impressive combined 3.42 GPA for the first semester of the school year.    

The team is comprised of Chloe Woodworth, Allison Mader, Aubrey Cox, Carly Clodfelter, Mikenna Varvel, Cali Stewart, Sammie Rowland, Claire Hinkle, Hailee Varvel, Cassidy Wasson, Kelsey Wertz, Halee Printz, Rachel Rusk, and team manager Kristen Shroyer.  Ian Porto is head coach, assisted by Jason Hadden and Luke Zerkel.
