UVMC Volunteers Recognized

Upper Valley Medical Center extended thanks to its volunteers during the National Volunteer Appreciation Week Luncheon in early April. UVMC volunteers completed 23,805 hours of service to the hospital last year. In addition the Volunteer Auxiliary provided generous financial contributions to help with hospital projects.  

Robin Fisher, Manager of Volunteer Services, said the UVMC family appreciates the volunteers’ hard work, dedication and generosity to the UVMC team and the mission. “They are true assets to this organization, and our team is better supported through all of their efforts,” Fisher said.

Among those honored were Olive Beanblossom with 22,000 lifetime hours; Margaret Attenweiller, 14,000 hours; Betty Gerken, 12,500 hours; Joyce Carpenter, 9,500 hours; Doris Perry, 9,000; Dee Collins, Kathryn Mote, 6,500; Libby McCabe, 5,000; Bill Christie, Becky Voisinet, 4,500 hours; Kathleen Putnam, Arlene Van Malsen, 4,000 hours; Liz DeWeese, Gwen Karr, 3,500; Ray Guillozet, Robert Sanders, 2,500 hours; Carolyn Hoblit, Henry Schlatter, Mailyn Helke, 2,000 hours; Barb Ayers, Glenna Caudill, Tom Kelley, 1,500 hours; and Christy Green, Steve Hamman, Chris Miller, Rita Miller, Joyce Morrow, Lowell Rapp, 1,000 hours.

Also earning recognition were: Kristen Blakey, Karyl Darrah, Marcia Deeter, Kimberly Emmel, Janice Hamman, Judy Pfister, James Putterbaugh, Geneva Rapp, Jill Resides, 500 hours; Judy Ferris, Joe Mains, Marianne Patten, Gerald Saffell, David Shinabery, Katherine Smith, Ritchie Weymer, 300 hours; and Jadyn Barga, Janice Birman, Amanda Blakley, Jean Browning, Courtney Caldwell, Alberta Collier, Helen Eisert, Kay Hardman, Jim Hoblit, Elizabeth Knapke, Ashley Mullins, Tonya Platt, Betty Smith, Kristin Tolek, Susan Younce, 100 hours.

In addition, Community Service Certificates were presented to the UVMC Project Search interns, including: Ellie Bowman, Tyler Branson, Troy Dishong, Kelsey Dornsbusch, Brandi Frees, Taylor Hinkle, Stefan Lemmon, Jonathan Moyer, Sara Mullins and Caleb Proffitt
