Explosive Speed and Power (ESP), ESP Jr. Performance Enhancement Programs
ESP is a six week enhancement program that is offered in the summer for high school, college and professional-level athletes from the area. The ESP Jr. program for seventh and eighth graders is also available for younger athletes.
The ESP Program is modeled after elite, Division I athletic programs. This program design focuses on intense, high-quality, off-season strength and conditioning for increased power and explosive competition.
The ESP and ESP Jr. programs both feature ground-based speed drills, plyometrics, and flexibility exercises to improve athletes’ speed, agility, vertical jump, and flexibility. The ESP program uses Olympic lifts, while the ESP Jr. program utilizes free weights, medicine balls, and machines to improve power and strength. Education on proper form, proper technique, and injury prevention is emphasized to promote safe and effective performance enhancement.
The experience of our certified strength and conditioning specialists make the ESP program credible among top programs in the region. In 2013, 100 percent of ESP participants rated their overall satisfaction as very good or excellent.
