Drive ALIVE Program for Premier Health Employees

6:00PM - 8:30PM, Bieser Auditorium ―(Miami Valley Hospital)

The Injury Prevention Center of Greater Dayton (IPC) is offering its annual Drive ALIVE program to the children of Premier Health Employees. This is a 2 day event July 29 and 30. The target audience is any teen driver between the ages of 15 and 18. The ultimate goal of this program is to provide awareness to young drivers about the scope and magnitude of the consequences of deviant behavior behind the wheel of a car. The class will include: - A tour of the CareFlight Area - Mock Trauma presented by MVH Emergency Trauma Center Nurses - Testimony from a Survivor of a Traumatic Brain Injury. - Tour of the Rehabilitation Department - Presentation from an Ohio State Highway Patrol Trooper about the Legal Implications of Certain Traffic Offenses This class will impart valuable information to the young driver, as well as help put the parent’s mind at ease knowing that their child understands and has seen what can happen to them if they make poor decisions while behind the wheel.
