The Upper Valley Medical Center (UVMC) Foundation builds on Miami County's tradition of generous private support to help provide quality health care and a strong community. The Foundation supports the Upper Valley Medical Center health system and works with the people of our community to fund important projects that really matter. It offers a broad base of support that has a strong impact on health care today and into the future. 

Here are some of the important projects that have been funded by the UVMC Foundation:

• Dual Energy Linear Accelerator for cancer care
• High Dose Radiation (HDR) system for cancer care
• Lithocast lithotriptor (for state-of-the-art treatment of kidney stones)
• Cardiac rehabilitation equipment
• Esophogeal monitoring equipment and other enhancements in surgery
• Cardiac catheterization equipment
• Pediatric cardiopulmonary monitor
• Fetal monitors in obstetrics and neonatal monitor in the Level II nursery
• Infant hearing screening equipment 
• Renal dialysis equipment
• Digital mammography
• Telemedicine equipment for Home Health
• Patient Education programming
• Health education outreach to our local schools
• Smoking prevention and cessation programming
• Dedicated CT Scan for the Cancer Care Center
