Upper Valley Medical Center Foundation Special Events
The UVMC (Upper Valley Medical Center) Foundation holds an annual event that provides substantial funding for the Cancer Care Center. Since 2005, the John J. Dugan Memorial Reception for Cancer Care has raised more than $410,000 to support the Cancer Care Center.
Local businessman and civic leader, John J. Dugan died Nov. 1, 2003 from complications of cancer. In honor of her husband, Jean Dugan made a gift that established the John J. Dugan Memorial Fund.
In April 2012, the John J. Dugan Infusion Center opened in the new UVMC Cancer Care Center. The additions and enhancements to the UVMC Cancer Care Center would not have been possible without the generous support of our caring community.

Since 2002, the UVMC Foundation in partnership with the UVMC Cancer Care Center has held an annual cancer awareness symposium for the community. This symposium is free and open to the public. The Annual Bill and Ruth McGraw Cancer Awareness Symposium is made possible by a grant from the McGraw Family fund of the Troy Foundation and a grant from the UVMC Foundation.
