Upper Valley Medical Center (UVMC) rooms include a variety of amenities. Our team will work with you to make sure your communications, privacy, and entertainment concerns are met in addition to your health care needs.
Although rooms may vary slightly, each UVMC room is designed for your medical needs and comfort. Every effort will be made to give you the type of room you prefer. A telephone and television are available in most patient rooms.
We want your stay to be as pleasant as possible. If you have any concerns about the temperature or non-medical equipment (i.e., television, lights, radio) in your room, please don’t hesitate to let your nurse/caregiver know.
Nurse Call Button
The handset at your bedside allows you to call the nurse by pushing the “nurse” button.
The telephone by your beside is for your private use. To place a call from your telephone, pick up the handset, listen for the dial tone, and dial ‘9’ for local calls or ‘9-0-0’ for long distance.
Long-distance calls may be placed only by using a credit card or billing to the number called. Long distance fees cannot be charged to your hospital account.
If you experience a problem with your television service, contact your nurse/caregiver.
