The following services and amenities are available on the Upper Valley Medical Center (UVMC) campus.

ATMs

An ATM is located on the Lower Level beyond the main staircase.

Food Service

The Cafeteria, located on the Lower Level, is open to visitors, staff, physicians, and volunteers during these times:

  • 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
  • 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
  • 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Vending

Vending machines are located in the dining area and Emergency Department.  Seasonal dining is available on the patio outside the dining area.

Gift Shop

The Gift Shop is located off the Main Lobby. Volunteers staff and operate the Gift Shop as a UVMC Auxiliary fundraiser. Hours are 9:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. weekdays and 1:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. weekends.

Courtyard

The Courtyard is located just outside the south corridor, surrounded by the patient rooms on the First and Second Floor. This lovely garden area is a peaceful setting for solitude or relaxation and provides a pleasing view from the patient rooms.

Elevators

There are 11 elevators in the building, with four available for public use. The main elevators are located off the Main Lobby. The east elevator is near the Rehab Unit on the First Floor. The west elevator is near Maternity on the First Floor.

Newspapers and Magazines

The Gift Shop sells magazines. Newspapers are available in stands outside the Main Lobby.

Telephones

Pay phones and courtesy phones for local calls are located by the main staircase and in the Emergency Department. All patient rooms have phones that dial out directly for local calls only. Dial 9 plus number to get an outside line. For long distance calls, patients may dial 9-0-0 to be connected to an outside operator. A TDD/TTY phone is available in the Emergency Department.

Waiting Areas

Spacious waiting areas for the public are located in the Main Lobby and on the Second Floor. Service-specific waiting areas are located in the Emergency Department, Intensive Care, Surgery, Women's Services and Imaging/Cardiopulmonary areas.

Wheelchair Services

Wheelchairs are available in the Main Lobby and Emergency Department for patient and visitor use.
