March 2009 Employee of the Month

Lori Riesenbeck

Lori Riesenbeck said she appreciated the opportunity to join the Mental Health Center, which she did in 1999, and work with its wonderful staff.  “It is a great staff to work with,” she said.  Since last fall Lori has combined the jobs of two people into one.  On Wednesday and Friday she works at the front desk.  The Center confirmed, “Lori is an exceptional receptionist.  She makes the clients feel welcome.  She treats every client with respect, finds out information for them, answers countless questions, and somehow manages to do 20 things all at once.  Her cheerful attitude, willingness to help and professional outlook keep the reception area running smoothly.”   On Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, Lori works in the office.  She does the doctors’ scheduling by meeting with clients to schedule their upcoming appointments.  “This increased workload has not diminished her spirit.  We are blessed to have Lori on our staff to keep us upbeat and positive.  She always has a positive attitude for all coworkers and clients alike.  She approaches everything with a good attitude and a sense of humor that brightens everyone’s day,” the Mental Health Center reported, and added, “Her Caring Plus attitude extends far beyond her smiling presence at the receptionist window.  Her enthusiasm and sincere enjoyment of people improves morale for all around her.  Lori’s enthusiasm for MCMHC and UVMC is contagious.”
