April 2009 Employee of the Month

Sarah Conover

Sarah Conover is a physical therapist with Rehab Services.  She exclaimed, smiling, “I love my job.  I love the patients.  I have a great group of individuals to work with.”   Sarah explained, “I couldn’t do what I do without the department.  I learn new things from my co-workers and I learn so much from my patients.  There’s a team feeling.  It extends to the satellites.  We draw off of each other’s strengths and skills and knowledge.”  A graduate of the University of Evansville, Ind., earning a bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy, Sarah received a master’s of Health Sciences in PT from the University of Indianapolis.  In 1989, Sarah joined Stouder’s PM&R (Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation) until 1995, when she and her family moved to Missouri.  They returned to Troy in 1998, the year Sarah returned to UVMC’s Rehab Services.

“Sarah consistently gives above and beyond to provide Caring Plus treatment for her patients,” a colleague has observed.  A patient of Sarah’s concurred.  “Sarah Conover is wonderful and is really caring and passionate about the help she gives.  She goes above and beyond her job.”   Rehab Services added, “Sarah is dedicated to the PT profession and continually strives to be the best therapist she can be.”
