September 2010 Employee of the Month

Kristi Wysong’s willingness to help co-workers and her positive interaction with patients are among attributes that led to her selection as the September 2010 Employee of the Month.

A registered nurse in Occupational Health, Kristi joined the UVMC family in 2008. She works providing pre-employment physicals and injury care.

She was praised by those who nominated her for a willingness to fill in at a moment’s notice or quickly learn the job of a fellow nurse who had to be absent due to surgery.  Flexible and always friendly were among words used to describe Kristi’s approach to her job.

“Kristi is such a hard worker. Her fellow employees love her. She is awesome with patients, making them feel at home with her sense of humor,” her nominator wrote. “Occ Health couldn’t function without her!”

Kristi said she could not ask for a better group of people to work with than those in Occupational Health. “I love helping people and the great people I work with,” she said.

When she is not at work, Kristi said she enjoys four-wheeling, hunting and being outdoors with her husband. She also breeds and raises Doberman pinschers.
