November 2011 Employee of the Month

Dee Eilerman’s willingness to help wherever she can was among reasons cited in her selection as the Employee of the Month for November.

She joined the UVMC family in 2006 and works full time in security and in pool as a health unit coordinator.  She previously worked in crisis support for four years and as security office coordinator for about a year.

“She smiles when approached, is pleasant and helpful,” wrote the person who nominated Dee. “She keeps busy on the job. She is a great team player – always willing to help others when needed.”

Other attributes mentioned in the nomination of Dee were her ability to remain calm in a crisis, her use of AIDET skills both in personal and phone conversations and completing her tasks in a timely and accurate fashion.

“I work with a great group of people not only in security and as a HUC, but in every department of the hospital that I have the pleasure of interacting with,” Dee said.

When not at work, she enjoys time with family. She and her son, Jay, have completed 13 5K runs this year. She, husband, Mark, and their son camp as often as they can.

Dee is a volunteer with Fort Loramie Rescue and is in her second semester studying nursing at Edison Community College.
