April 2012 Employee of the Month

James “Ace” Justice’s effort in his job as a patient care technician helped earn him the Employee of the Month recognition for April.  James joined the UVMC family just over a year ago in his first job in the health care field. The person who nominated him said James always has a smile on his face and a “hearty” laugh to share.

“Ace is awesome with the patients. There is nothing he won’t do for his nursing staff and patients,” the co-worker wrote. “He gives his patients a feeling of great respect and honor.”

James said he enjoys making people feel good and comfortable, listening and making staff and clients laugh. “I also enjoy learning and growing in my job,” he said. His interest in care giving grew from personal experience caring for his mother. He and his wife, Jo, have two adult sons. When not at work, he enjoys sports and music.
