Behavioral Health

When you have a behavioral disorder, your mental outlook and thought patterns may keep you from doing the things you want to do in life. At Upper Valley Medical Center, if you are age 18 or older, our inpatient services can help you address serious mental or emotional disorders.

Our Behavioral Health team at Upper Valley Medical Center is here to support you and learn what’s most important to you. Then, we work with you in individual and group settings to make changes to help you reach your goals.

Those who come to us appreciate the loving, caring, nonjudgmental atmosphere we’ve created in our inpatient programs. Kindness and respect are essential to our care. We encourage everyone to feel safe in sharing personal thoughts and emotions.

Our peaceful, rural setting and access to the outdoors also have a healing effect. We’re centrally located in Miami County on County Road 25-A, with convenient access from Interstate 75.

Our inpatient services can help people with extreme depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and schizoaffective disorder (a combination of schizophrenia and bipolar), substance use disorders or other mental and behavioral health disorders. We have an entire team to help transition you safely back to outpatient care. 

If you are being cared for at Upper Valley Medical Center for a medical condition and we identify a need for behavioral health care, we will have one of our psychiatrists or therapists evaluate you.
