Parkinson’s Wellness Program

If you have Parkinson’s disease, you may find this unique exercise program to be a life-changer, as many have described it. The Parkinson's Wellness Program (formerly Delay the Disease) is based on evidence that indicates that structured exercise routines can retrain your mind and body to keep you in control.

In a friendly, comfortable environment you’ll practice doing exercises that focus on strength training and overcoming specific challenges of Parkinson’s. Reported results include the ability to:

• Move about with ease and confidence in a crowd
• Get out of bed or rise from a chair independently
• Improve handwriting
• Dress independently
• Diminish worry that stiffness, slow steps and other symptoms are obvious
• Regain a sense of moving with normality

Tuesdays and Thursdays
11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., noon to 1:00 p.m. or 1:15 p.m. to 2:15 p.m.
Participants will be assigned a time slot based on their pre-assessment with a physical therapist.
