We aim to provide you the most appropriate technology to achieve the outcome you desire. To that end, we introduce new technologies and procedures regularly. Our advanced surgical tools include:

Powerful Imagery

Exploratory surgery used to be necessary to properly diagnose many conditions. But Premier Health’s advanced imaging systems enable a diagnosis without surgery in many instances. They give physicians a three-dimensional view of your organs and tissue that is so clear, surgery may not be necessary to make a diagnosis.

NanoKnife

This revolutionary tool lets Premier Health surgeons get to the hard-to-reach areas inside your body. In the past, surgeons were unable to operate on a cancer lesion that was close to a vital organ or blood vessel, or was in a difficult area.

The NanoKnife IRE (Irreversible Electroporation) System has changed this. It lets us get to those difficult areas, and then deliver electrical pulses. The pulses kill the cancer cells so they are not left behind with the possibility of spreading. At the same time, vital tissue that surrounds the cancer cells are protected.

Since the introduction of NanoKnife, patients whose cancer was previously inoperable have a renewed opportunity for treatment.

Endobronchial Ultrasound

Lung cancer was often diagnosed after it had spread. With endobronchial ultrasound, diagnosis can occur sooner and more accurately. An early diagnosis means more treatment options are possible. It lets us collect tissue or fluid samples from your lungs and lymph nodes without surgery.

Minimally Invasive Procedures

Instead of one large incision, minimally invasive procedures use several tiny incisions. Learn more about the many benefits of this surgical approach.

Robotic surgery is a minimally invasive approach that significantly enhances your surgeon’s capabilities, and can speed your recovery. Learn more about this revolutionary approach to surgery.

Tissue Implantation

By working closely with the Community Tissue Bank, we’re able to provide implantation of bone, skin, cornea, and heart valves. An innovative graft-tracking system ensures the availability and safety of tissue implants for procedures including cardiac valve replacement, burn treatment, back surgeries, and numerous orthopedic procedures.

Pain Management

Following surgery, it’s important to control your pain. Doing so can help you recover faster and reduce your risk of complications. And when your pain is minimal you’ll be more prepared to do what it takes to fully recover, like breathing deeply and walking. Learn more about Premier Health pain management.
